Once dominated by Victoria’s Secret, the lingerie market has exploded in the last few years. Dozens of new brands have popped up and older brands are upping their game, offering a bigger and more affordable selection than ever before. As a lover of anything underwear-related, I couldn’t be happier!
Below you will find some of the most beautiful and affordable lingerie brands currently on the market. These brands offer a large selection of lingerie for all kinds of body types. And the best thing is that they are actually affordable.
Aerie has become hugely popular in recent years due to their extended sizes and campaigns focusing on body positivity. They carry a full line of bras and panties along with pajamas, bathing suits, activewear, and loungewear. Aerie definitely doesn’t have the sexiness factor of other brands, but you will find a variety of cute styles that are designed for comfort. They also have an amazing selection of beautiful bralettes which are great for lounging around in.
Bras are usually $15 – 40 but be sure to check their clearance section for really great deals. Panties are very affordable during promotions such as 6 pairs for $25 or 10 for $35.
Maidenform is my number-one choice for everyday underwear. Their styles are sensual but extremely comfortable and they offer some great push-up bras. Just keep in mind that many of their panties are either a nylon or a microfiber blend. They do not offer a lot of cotton styles and their plus-size options tend to be limited. On the bright side, Maidenform lingerie can be found at tons of different stores, but for the best prices, I recommend buying from Macy’s or Kohl’s.
I usually wait to buy their panties until they’re on sale where you can get 5 pairs for $35. Bras are usually $20-30 when on sale.
ASOS offers its own line of lingerie called ASOS Design. Don’t expect to see them selling any boring granny panties. Many of their items are on the sexier side and made to get noticed. So if you’re looking for something unique and flirty, this is the place. Like Aerie, they use models of all sizes and do not retouch their photos. They also offer a large size selection with many of their bra and panty styles going up to size 14. You can also check out their special plus-size collection called Curve.
Pricing: Most bras range from $20 to $35 and many of their panty styles are $10-$20. ASOS often has sales and coupon codes that can be used for additional savings.
Nordstrom Rack & Saks Off 5th
Nordstrom Rack & Sacks Off 5th are similar to T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s in that they offer a variety of different brands at huge discounts. The biggest difference is that Nordstrom Rack & Sacks Off 5th offer higher-end brands. Nordstrom Rack has the larger selection of the two and carries brands like DKNY, Calvin Klein, Free People, Hanky Panky, and Spanx. While Saks Off 5th carries brands like La Perla, Commando, Wacoal, and Hanro to name a few.
Pricing: Some of the really high-end brands (like La Perla) are still pricey but there are still many brands offering bras less than $20 and panties under $10.
Dorina offers a large selection of beautiful, feminine styles and is one of my personal favorites. In 2019, they introduced their first eco-friendly collection, consisting of pieces made from recycled plastic bottles and fishing nets. In addition to lingerie, they also carry a swimwear line, which like their lingerie, comes in both average and fuller-figure sizes. For the largest selection of their products, I recommend shopping at ASOS.
Pricing: On average, bras range from $12 – 25 and panties are often less than $10.
Victoria’s Secret has had some issues in recent years, but they are still a huge contender in the lingerie world. Their collection includes both comfy and ultra-sexy styles in a huge range of colors and patterns. Personally, I’ve found some of the most beautiful panties styles I own on their site and I appreciate that they are finally using fuller figure models. I also love their use of different fabrics (like velvet or mesh) and how they add embellishments (like rhinestones) to some of their pieces. Their bras tend to be on the pricier side but you can find great deals during their sales.
Pricing: Shop during their big sales for the best prices. During the year they also have 5 for $30 panty styles and you can check out their sale section for deals on items year-round.
Auden By Target
Auden is a lingerie brand by Target that was released in March 2019. This line contains a large variety of cute styles that are designed for comfort. They do offer some lacey styles but none of their pieces are overly sexy. Since Auden is owned by Target, you are protected under a one-year satisfaction guarantee. So if your item falls apart after a few months of regular use, feel free to return it for a refund. Since this brand is still on the new side, they may be working on finding their footing as some reviews mention quality control issues.
Pricing: Many panty styles are 5 for $20. Most bras are $15-$20.
H&M has a sizeable collection of lingerie, the majority of which is online. Lately, they’ve been focusing more on comfort and less on the sexiness factor. However, some of their lace styles are stunning and you can often purchase their panties in packages of 2 or more. They don’t have a lot of lingerie other than bras and panties but they do have a nice selection of sports bras and shapewear. Just keep in mind that their undergarments cannot be returned due to hygiene reasons.
Pricing: Most bras are between $20-$25. Most of their panty styles must be purchased in packs and are $13-$20.
T.J. Maxx & Marshall’s
T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s are similar stores that offer a large collection of brands at extreme discounts. Some of the brands offered at T.J. Maxx include Laura Ashley, Danskin, Jessica Simpson, and Nautica. While Marshall’s offers brands like Cosabella, Lucky Brand, Free People, and Tart. The best thing about these stores is that their selection is always changing and you can find great deals on items you may not be able to afford when regularly priced.
Pricing: Prices vary by brand but you can find many bras for less than $20. And the majority of their panty styles are $10 or less.
Frederick’s of Hollywood
Frederick’s of Hollywood has been surviving against Victoria’s Secret for a long time so they must be doing something right. They currently offer both misses and plus-size options in a wide selection of lingerie styles including chemises, baby dolls, and garter belts. Some people may find their panties and bras “too much” for everyday wear as many contain lace and don’t cover a whole lot. But it’s definitely worth taking a look as they have a lot of pretty styles at affordable prices.
Pricing: Many panties are less than $10. Bras are $30-$40 when regularly priced and $18-$35 when on sale.
Shein is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shop due to its huge style selection. Many of their items tend to be on the sexier side so be prepared if you don’t like showing a lot of skin. On the positive side, they carry a varied selection of bras and panties along with baby dolls, teddys, and other lingerie items. Their prices are also extremely reasonable but keep in mind that their lingerie is non-returnable. Also, make sure you check out their large plus-size collection.
Pricing: Shein’s prices are some of the lowest you will come across. Most bras are under $10 and many panties are less than $5. They also carry panties that come in packs which will run you $10 or less.
Yandy is a huge online retailer of sexy lingerie including bras, panties, babydolls, corsets, and teddys. They also offer accessories like swimwear, costumes, shoes, and sexy clothing. Yandy’s lingerie selection offers plenty of sexy styles including crotchless panties and barely-there bras. If you like something a little more modest, they do offer moderate coverage items including some pretty lace styles. Like other sites, their panties are non-returnable for hygiene regions.
Pricing: Bras are typically $10-35 but they often offer sales and deals like 3 bras for $39. Most panties are $7-10 regular price and even less when on sale. Many panty styles are also 5 for $25.
Dobreva is a brand that can only be found on Amazon. Although their collection is limited to just bras, they do offer many gorgeous styles and colors at very reasonable prices. And as a bonus, many of their items come with free shipping and returns for Prime members. Some of the highlights of this brand include beautiful strapless styles with lots of lace and a good-size selection of front closure options. The only real downside of this brand is that many of their bras don’t go bigger than DD.
Pricing: Most bralettes are around $20 and many bras are priced between $20-$25.
