If you’re petite, you know how difficult it can be to find pajama bottoms that don’t bunch up or drag on the ground. And even though there are a lot of brands are offering petite jeans and pants, petite pajamas are still very much lacking. In fact, it can be one of the hardest petite items to find.
So to make your search a little easier, below is a list of some of the best places to find petite pajamas. Even though they are far and few between, these stores offer a nice selection of separates and sets to choose from and they won’t break the bank.

Kohl’s offers one of the best selections of petite pajamas you will find. They offer a little bit of everything including pajama sets, separates, chemises, nightgowns, and robes. Some of the brands they carry that offer petite options include Lands’ End, Sonoma, and Croft & Barrow. Depending on the brand, the price can vary, but Kohl’s often has sales and coupons so you should be able to get a great deal. And if you’re looking for pajama sets, then Kohl’s is one of your best bets. Many of the sets’ bottoms have an inseam of 27″.
Soma doesn’t offer a separate petites section, but they do have a really nice collection of pajama bottoms and lounge pants that come with inseams of 26″ to 28”. They also have a few ankle-length options where the inseam goes as low as 25″. Keep in mind though, these items aren’t designed to be petite all-over, they are just cut shorter. Their prices are in the mid-range with most pajama bottoms being less than $50. Or even more so when on sale.
Victoria’s Secret doesn’t offer petite items per se. But they do offer multiple pajama sets where the bottoms have inseams from 28” to 29”. Similar to Soma, their pajama sets aren’t made to be smaller all-over, the bottoms just have slightly shorter inseams. But they do have quite a few styles and prints to choose from, many of which are very lovely. Most of their pajama sets are $50-$70 when regular price but I see them go on sale for $30 or even lower during their annual sales.
Even though Lands’ End is sold at Kohl’s, you can find an even bigger selection on their website. Their petite pajamas bottoms typically have a 28 1/2” inseam. But, they also have some wide-legged cropped styles that come as short as 21”. They also offer pajama sets along with matching separates. And they have a nice selection of nightshirts and nightgowns. The price range varies depending on the item and whether or not it is on sale. But I would expect to see prices as low as $13 and as high as $55, but with most falling in the middle.
L.L. Bean offers several petite pajama styles that are designed for women 5’3” or less. Sometimes they don’t list the inseams of their pajama bottoms so you may have to contact customer service for this info. But they’re usually around 28″. Their collection includes a little bit of everything including sets, separates, robes, nightgowns, and onesies. They are a bit on the pricier side. You won’t find many options for less than $50 (when full-price), but they do have sales and a generous 1-year return policy.
The Gap has several petite pajama options available but they are mostly limited to pants and shorts. I like that their pajama bottoms come in solid colors (where elsewhere they always seem to be plaid). They also come in several styles including regular straight leg, wide-leg, and joggers. The inseam of their petite loungewear and pajama bottoms is typically 29” which may not be short enough for some. Their regular prices are typically between $30 and $50 but they often have really great sales where you can save big.
The following stores offer petite options but their selection might be extremely small or they may not list the inseams of their pajama bottoms. This makes it hard to give them a solid recommendation but they are still worth checking out, especially if you don’t have luck at the other stores.
ASOS has a great selection of petite items in really cute styles, but they don’t list the inseams of their bottoms. So you will have to contact them to find this information out. Hopefully, they will fix this in the future since they offer a lot of nice prints (that aren’t only plaid).
